Take a Blackheath Adventure on your Blue Mountains tour. This can include a drive to Anvil or Pulpit Rock.
Blackheath lies about 20 minutes west of Katoomba in the Blue Mountains so its just a drive from Katoomba. It is famous for its proximity to the Grose Valley, its quaint township and annual Rhododendron festival in November. We often dine at the Blackheath Café or bistro and visit Govett’s leap nearby.
To see deeper and further into the valley and for better views go to Pulpit Rock or Anvil Rock. This is an expedition through the National Park, a short walk leads us to amazing views looking south with the sun behind us in a perfect position to see down into the valley. Pulpit rock is a stunning spot where photos from a distance taken from the top will impress.
Blackheath is also one of our favourites spots to shop for goods and picnic at Govett’s Leap, Pulpit Rock or the Wind Swept Rock near Anvil Rock offer great places to rest.
Blackheath may be visited on our Blue Mountains Full Day tour or Jenolan Caves Tour
