The experience is operated by Balloon Aloft, one of Australia’s original and multi-award winning commercial balloon operators, so you’re in very experienced hands. It’s relaxed, well-organised, and feels easy from start to finish.
Your morning begins with a convenient pickup from Sydney, before travelling to Camden Valley Inn where you’ll meet your pilot and crew and continue to the launch site. The exact location changes depending on the weather, which really just adds to the sense of adventure. Watching the balloon inflate and come to life is also part of the experience and you can stand back and take it all in or lend a hand before stepping into the basket.
As the sun rises, you’ll gently lift into the sky, floating effortlessly over the countryside. With almost no sensation of movement, the experience is both peaceful and exhilarating one moment gliding just above the treetops, the next rising to sweeping heights of up to 2,000 feet, revealing panoramic views across the region.
After around an hour, you’ll come back down for a gentle landing, followed by the pack-down (again, you can watch or jump in). Then it’s back to Camden Valley Inn for a relaxed breakfast with your pilot and the rest of the group a perfect way to finish the experience and swap stories from the flight.
