Detailed Tour Plan
Blue Mountains Small Group Full-Day Luxury Tour – Wildlife, Waterfalls & Scenic Lookouts
Join us for a full-day adventure through the spectacular Blue Mountains — the best way to experience as much as possible in one unforgettable day. Travelling in a small group of no more than 15 guests, you’ll enjoy a relaxed, personalised journey with more time outdoors and away from the crowds.
We begin early, leaving the beautiful city of Sydney behind as we head west. Around 40 minutes later we arrive at our first stop: Featherdale Sydney Wildlife Park. This is the home to the largest collection of Australian native animals in the world, with over 2,000 animals on site.
Featherdale is renowned for its close-up wildlife encounters. Here, you can hand-feed friendly Kangaroos, take a professional photo with a cute and loveable Koala, snap a selfie with the “happiest animal on earth” the Quokka and meet Wombats, Tasmanian Devils and more. You’ll also see the vibrant colours of Australia’s native birdlife, including Emus, Cassowaries, and laughing Kookaburras. For those excited to explore Australia’s wilder side, some of the country’s most famously “scary” creatures are also on display including Dingoes, Crocodiles, Snakes, and Spiders.
From here, we continue into the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains, where dramatic landscapes, cascading waterfalls, fresh mountain air and ancient sandstone cliffs await.
The highlight of the day is our visit to Scenic World, one of the Blue Mountains’ most iconic attractions, set on the edge of the spectacular Jamison Valley. This unique experience combines dramatic scenery with a series of world-famous rides and a chance to explore the rainforest from a completely different perspective. First you will descend into the valley on the Scenic Railway, originally built for coal mining and now recognised as one of the steepest passenger railways in the world. At the valley floor you will wander along an elevated boardwalk that winds through lush rainforest, filled with towering trees, ferns, and moss-covered forest. When you are ready to return, travel back to the clifftops via the Scenic Cableway, offering sweeping views across the Jamison Valley, Orphan Rock, and Mount Solitary. The experience is completed on the Scenic Skyway, which glides between cliffs high above the valley, delivering panoramic views of Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters, and the vast wilderness – complete with a glass floor for those feeling brave.
Scenic World is perfect for those who want to experience the beauty of the Blue Mountains and feel immersed in nature, without the need for strenuous hiking. It is ideal for a more relaxed and enjoyable day.
We then visit Leura Village, widely regarded as the prettiest village in the Blue Mountains. Elegant, leafy, and full of character, Leura is known for its charming main street and relaxed mountain atmosphere. Enjoy free time to have lunch at one of the many cafés, patisseries, or tea rooms, browse boutique shops and bookstores, or simply wander and soak up the peaceful mountain surroundings.
In the afternoon, we explore Katoomba’s most iconic lookouts, where the Blue Mountains truly put on a show. Stand at Echo Point and come face to face with the world-famous Three Sisters, rising dramatically from the valley below and deeply connected to ancient Aboriginal storytelling and culture.
Our final stops are Cahills Lookout and Boars Head Lookout, two spectacular vantage points offering sweeping, uninterrupted views across the Megalong Valley, where layers of cliffs, forests and distant horizons stretch as far as the eye can see.
Led by passionate, knowledgeable and local guides who genuinely love what they do, you’ll travel in a comfortable luxury vehicle designed for a relaxed and enjoyable day. This tour delivers an unforgettable Blue Mountains experience from start to finish.
